Did You Trade

Good Morning,

Over the last 3days, we been doing a lot of trading and investing. Here are the updates of our positions 

For Stocks:

We are currently short on OCBC and DBS.  We are targetting at least 10-20cents profit margin..  (Congrats to the OCBC short sellers)

We are long in Genting. We looking it to hit S$1.35 by end of Sep.. (For long term investment)

We are small long in Noble and Olam. Targeting to see them hitting $1.77 and $2.77. (Go small)

We are looking to long into Property stocks in the next round as I strongly believe that Property prices is going to hit new high again by 4Q of 2010.  STI have the potential to crack above the 3,000 mark by early next month. The SingDOllar is very strong.  

For Forex:

We are still short on the Euro and long the Dollaryen. (We cut lost on the Euro when it rose above 1.2950 on the 19th of July but re-shorted again on the 20th of July)

For Future :

We have covered our NIKKEI shorts but shorted the Taiwan and SIMSCI Futures based on . Looking to cover back tomorrow.

We are looking to short the S&P later.

We are shorting this 2 banks counters @ 8.95 and 14.58 as we think there could be more downside for them after observing them for the entire morning. Potential downside is around 10-20cents more.

Good Morning,

In case you are thinking which movie to catch for this week, during the week days which is much cheaper.. then the movie I highly recommend is Leonardo Di Capirio’s Inception. Throughout the movie, your eyes will be glued to the CGI and the storyline. And the twist at the end of the movie was fantastic!

After the movie, you can will hear and see that almost everyone will be impressed by it… at least this the feel I get when the movie ended and I can hear all the buzz among the movie goers. Another great visionary movie.

Over the weekend, I shared with some of friends, regarding on what to expect on today’s, 19th of July, Monday’s market.

These are some of things I shared with them;

” Most likely market will not sell down as many expected and bargain hunters will come to collect while short sellers cover PARTIAL ”

” For those who shorted on our calls last week, today would be a good day to cover back 50% of your short positions “

” For those who intent to to long, I suggest you wait for awhile more ”

” For those who intent to long on bargin, I suggest you do a FIFO (Fast-In, Fast-Out) “

” If the general market do give you any chance to buy Genting between 1.14-1.17, dun wait, grab it and keep it. I am very bullish on this stock and if my calculation is correct, I think this stock might give everyone a good ANG-PAO by 8th of August 2011. My target for it to hit S$1.35 by Sep 2010.”

With that, I have asked my friends to cover 50% of our shorts and staying out from the short idea for today.

2 days ago, when I called for SELL in the NIKKEI, someone from the public emailed me and asked for my reason… and my answer was pretty simple and direct…

” Market have not changed for the last 200years…thus market cyclical pattern will remain the same.. the only hard part is to find the pattern with the right tools. Not all tools can be use over each cycle but if the pattern fits and tool is applicable for that cycle, then one must trust the tool. Trust is a must or your game is a bust!”

“But Kelvin, the NIKKEI been up since 7th of July and recently up 270pts! And the fundamental seems improving and won’t buyers comes in to buy?”

” Exactly… the trend is UP trend and if everyone is ‘reportedly’ buying… then for each transaction to be completed.. there always must be a BUYER and a SELLER right? So if everyone is BUYING as you say.. who is SELLING to complete the deal? Next… if there is equal number of buying and selling = price will not move up or down.. but if the price is moving down =>>> doesn’t that mean the sellers are more KEEN to sell than BUY??”

The public member understood what I meant and followed to short the NIKKEI and asked me when is my next class…

13th of July, I called for a SELL on the HK market. And from the chart pattern and my system, the downside is coming soon. Too bad, the very night, the Dow rallied more than 140pts thus causing the market to open higher the next day, hitting a high of 29700s but you can see from the chart that it didnt stay up long and began to tumble towards the closing and the next day, it just sold down more than 300pts. It was indeed a roller coaster ride. Congrats to those who shorted, cut loss first, then shorted again. Well DONE!

For TODAY;

The NIKKEI is good SHORT once its goes below the Opening Price of today, based on the chart and our system

The SIMSCI is a good SHORT once it goes below 348.4

The TWI is a good SHORT at OP-1

The HK is a good SHORT at OP-1 too.

Continue to SHORT Bank and CPO Stocks.

Overall, I am staying BEAR for today and most likely we are going to See the STI going down by 10-15pts today. And if my forecast comes true then STI should be heading for the 60pts selling soon.

Good Morning,

With the GDP and inflation numbers coming from China moments ago.. which gave the market the last burst of fire… hitting an intraday high and now coming off from it. This is the signal that I been waiting for.

I and my grads have shorted the NIKKEI and the Taiwan Futures at 9745 and 2719 based on our V3Go System. If the market goes in our direction, then we are looking to book profit tomorrow or later this week.

Rem, nothing is 100% but with the right technique, patient and discipline to go for trades and book profit or cut loss, one can go far in this trade.

With the revised GDP expectation, yes, I must say Singapore is going to be a real FINE place for investment and things may truely turn rosier by September-October. Overall, I am bullish in the stock market in the long haul esp Singapore market BUT I am not recommending for a buy since 2days ago as I think we are a little stretching it especially with the strong opening but weak closing for the market while the Dow ekes out 7th consecutive gain especially with the Bank skidding.

This is a combo signal to warn traders that one should be very careful trading the market today, especially if you are on the long side of the market. Many a time, at this stage, I know its very hard for traders not to be involved in the market especially when they seem to missed the run, staring 2 weeks ago and felt obligated to enter into the market at all cost (opportunity cost in their perspective) but usually they may catch the last few puffs of the cigarette butts but if they fail to know when to stop… then there is a good chance they inhale the toxic at the last part instead…

The STI closed at 2952 yesterday and if my forecast is correct then I am looking at the Index to reverse at least 60points to hit 2890 first within this 1-2weeks. This will definitely give many traders a scare and cut loss towards that level. And thats where I will be waiting while I start my shorting from here. I have been encouraging traders to take on the short position while the market is filled with prices for us to select.

Yes, we did suffer some minor cut loss but the ROC (rate of change) proved that the turn is just around the corner. So while we wait, we know sooner or later, we will get what we what later. (Just re-collect when I called for a 1000points reversal on the HK when everyone is calling for a buy on the 21st of June ( the day the HK ramped up 571points in a single day). The market stood sideway for 5 trading days before collapsing down more than 1300pts.

Today I am calling for SELL once again. I am looking to short the Banks and Crude Oil stocks.
